Booking Connect vs copying Treatwell bookings into Phorest by hand

You can keep Treatwell and Phorest in step by hand, and many salons start that way. This compares doing it manually with using Booking Connect.

Doing it by hand

  • Every Treatwell booking, reschedule and cancellation has to be copied to Phorest, and every Phorest booking blocked out on Treatwell.

  • It works when you are quiet, but gets hard in a busy salon.

  • If you are slow to copy something across, a double booking can mean phoning a customer to reschedule.

With Booking Connect

  • Treatwell bookings, reschedules and cancellations are applied to Phorest as the emails arrive.

  • Phorest bookings show on Treatwell through your calendar feed, usually within about five minutes.

  • You can choose how each service appears in Phorest, with breaks or a full appointment.

  • You get an email whenever something needs a human, for example an unrecognised stylist or a service that hasn't been mapped.

Where manual still wins

If you take only a handful of Treatwell bookings a month, copying them across may be fine. Booking Connect pays off as bookings, stylists or marketplaces increase.

Where it came from

We built Booking Connect for our own salon. Treatwell was bringing in as many as one in five of our new customers, but copying every booking between systems was driving us mad.

Booking Connect has a 14-day free trial, so you can try it with your own diary first. See the pricing page for the plans.

Booking Connect is an independent service. It isn't run by Treatwell, Phorest, Fresha or ClassPass.
